Our client are on the search for a sales executive to join the foodservice team; to sustain growth in a really strong area for the business and launch their new product into existing and incremental markets. The role will involve autonomously managing your own portfolio of UK customers, driving revenue in areas outside their existing network and supporting the team on activity with their key distributors. With a new product launching, there will be lots of emphasis on new business and finding revenue streams that will support the growth of the channel.

Responsibilities
  • Sell in the new product to existing wholesale networks and approach relevant key end customers.
  • Further, build wholesale networks to ensure the company have coverage in all regions and sectors in the UK market.
  • Maximise traction in medium-sized contract caterers by approaching buyers directly.
  • Look to negotiate deals to consolidate the company as sole category partner.
  • Organise key site visits across the contract catering sector.
  • Supporting team with sell in into the airlines.
  • Research incremental opportunities in the market and pitch to the team to pursue.
  • Support existing foodservice team with key national accounts.
  • Organise sales and marketing initiatives with key end customers.
Internal
  • Being up to date with activity in the market. I.e. knowing if a contract caterer has been bought by another company in the market.
  • Research incremental opportunities in the market and pitch to the team to pursue.
  • Support existing foodservice team with the bigger national accounts.
  • Look into trade show opportunities in areas of responsibility.
  • Organising on sales and marketing initiatives with key end customers.
  • Identify ways of improving the efficiency of the team.
External
  • Network with other brands in the market to understand opportunities the team may be unaware of.
  • Contribute to bi-monthly sector reports to keep the wider team informed of progress.
  • Update wider team on competitor activity in the market and come up with ways the team can pitch into those customers.
